MINI COMPANY DETAILS

IMPORTANT DATES AND GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:

Information below is geared to dancers between the ages of 9 and 18 (as of January 1, 2027). Dancers between ages 6-8 should view Mini Company information above.

  • To audition, a dancer must be between the ages of 6 and 18 as of January 1, 2027.

  • Solo and Company Auditions — May 15-17, 2026 (contact the studio to set up a makeup or video audition)

  • Mini Auditions — May 17, 2026

  • Audition registration is open

WHAT IT TAKES:

To be successful in a competitive sport, dancers should posses the following characteristics:

  • A willingness to learn and a hunger to receive critiques

  • A self-motivated personality and strong work ethic

  • A positive attitude with the ability to pivot and adapt when necessary

  • Trust in the Artistry Dance Alliance faculty and directors

Dancers who’d like to compete at an intermediate to elite level should have:

  • A strong knowledge of ballet technique

  • Good to great flexibility and muscle strength

  • Strong stage presence and genuine performance quality in a variety of genres

  • Strong sense of musicality

  • Diversity in movement quality and textures

  • The ability to apply proper technique to choreography immediately (elite)

  • Use of plie, muscle engagement and consistent articulation of the feet (elite)

  • The ability to power through in a high pressure, fast paced environment (elite)

SIGNING UP FOR SOLO AUDITIONS

  • Before booking a time slot, be sure you’ve reviewed and understand the Company Expectations handout.

  • May 15th between 4 and 5:30 pm or May 17th between 10 and 11:30 am. Time slots are in 5 minute blocks. Contact the studio for makeup or video audition options.

  • After your time slot is secured, you’ll receive a confirmation email including the Solo Audition Application and an invoice for your Audition Fee.

SIGNING UP FOR COMPANY AUDITIONS

  • Before signing up, be sure you’ve reviewed and understand the Company Expectations handout.

  • Login to your Studio Director account or create one.

  • Enroll in SZN XI Auditions. Please note: times are not listed on Studio Director. Exact schedule can be found below.

  • After your registration is received, you’ll receive a confirmation email including the Company Audition Application and an invoice for your Audition Fee.
